ARCHIVES
Welcome to the "archives" of Association of
Former Pentecostals! You may not think we've been around long enough to
"archive" things, but -- believe it or not -- we have!
We have five sorts of archives on this
site. This page hosts three of them: two old Yahoo! Discussion groups, and
a newsletter currently on hiatus. Our discussion list archives created by
our new forums are archived on that discussion board. Archives of our
"guestbook" are archived on the guestbook page.
Our first discussion group is the old
"Azusa Street Survivors" discussion group on Yahoo!Groups. It began on
November 14, 2001 as "Ex-Apostolics" discussion group, but expanded its
focus when it merged with another Yahoo!Group ("Ex-Pentecostals") to
create the "Azusa" Group. It attracted more than 250 members, carrying at
least half that number at any given time.
It amassed over 5,000 messages in its
year-and-a-half history.
The actual "group" itself is now part of
the new "Azusa Street Survivors" group on our new "ezboard" forums (see
"forums" in the top left menu). The Yahoo!Group version of this support
group has been closed down for messaging, but still accessible for
browsing the messages. To browse the archives of this "closed" forum,
simply click the link below. You will be required to create a FREE
Yahoo!ID to "join" this forum and read its messages.

The second group that is archived actually
had about half the members of the above, but actually beat it in
messages. "Pentecostal Debate" was started on Yahoo!Groups in April 2002
to compliment "Azusa Street Survivors" to allow debating and heated
discussion (which was banned from the "Azusa" group). It grew quickly,
once having over 1,000 messages in one month's time.
The "Pentecostal Debate" forum was also carried over onto our new "ezboard"
forums, and the heated discussions continue there as well. The archives
of this group are open to the public, no Yahoo!ID required.

In February of 2002, a newsletter for all
former Pentecostals was created. Initially, "Delivered!" newsletter was
created as a quarterly, but as the news items increased, it became a
monthly. Due to time constraints, publications were ceased after a name
change to "XPC-Examiner." Stopping this successful publication was
extremely painful, especially since it had our most successful
subscription of all of our services -- it was delivered to over 200
individuals a month when it ceased. All nine issues are archived below,
and are just a click away!
